Le Mans isn't just a city — it's the world capital of endurance racing. Three 24-hour races are held here every year — cars, motorcycles and trucks — turning the city into an international meeting point.
24 Hours of Le Mans (cars)
The world's most famous endurance race, created in 1923 by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and held on the Circuit de la Sarthe (13.626 km). The 95th edition takes place 9-13 June 2027, with the world's top teams competing in the Hypercar class (Ferrari, Toyota, Porsche, Cadillac, Aston Martin, BMW, Peugeot, McLaren). In 2024 it set a new attendance record with 329,000 spectators.
24 Heures Motos
Held on the Bugatti Circuit (4.185 km) since 1978, this race opens the FIM Endurance World Championship season every year. From Saturday 3pm to Sunday 3pm, 59 crews of 3 riders take turns racing day and night. The 50th edition runs 16-19 April 2027.
24 Heures Camions (trucks)
Unlike the other two races, this event runs over a full weekend rather than continuously: three championships compete in several heats on the Bugatti Circuit — the Goodyear FIA ETRC, the French Truck Championship (FFSA) and the British Truck Racing Championship. The Village welcomes visitors with entertainment, fireworks and a show featuring over 200 trucks. The 41st edition takes place 26-27 September 2026.
Why book early
During the 24 Hours of Le Mans, accommodation near the circuit is booked out by racing teams and sponsors months in advance. Le Mans city centre remains the best compromise: quick access to the circuit, without the constraints of camping. Chez Béranger is a 10-minute walk from the train station, right in the city centre.
